The history of José Ramón Baile S.L. is the story of a hard-working, united and resilient family, which started from scratch. In the 1950s, the nickname “Monsa” came from José Ramón’s friends, who, inspired by a famous Valencia C.F. defender, Salvador Monzó, began to call him that because of his physical characteristics. Soon, the nickname spread to the entire family, which became known as “Los Monsas”.
After the death of his father in 1955, José Ramón, at just 12 years old, assumed the role of “father” to his younger siblings. His mother, Carmen, with great courage and determination, fought to support the family, working day and night as a net maker and selling wine and bleach. It was in the midst of this adversity that the seeds of what would become a thriving business were sown.
In April 1970, with only a Seat 600 and 12 boxes of A. Sevilla bleach, José Ramón began visiting clients, receiving overwhelming support from the start. The first sale was to his sister Dorita, and many friends from the village, such as Leopoldo, Batiste and others, also supported him unconditionally, demonstrating the trust and friendship that has always characterized our relationship with our clients.
The company's first warehouse was at 69 San Antonio Street, and it was thanks to the support of his brothers that he was able to use that space without problems. However, the business grew rapidly, and in 1974 it was necessary to move to a new warehouse on Argel Street, in Santa Pola, built with the help of family and friends. There, his brother Lorenzo worked alongside him for 45 years, until his retirement.
En 2013, el crecimiento continuo de la empresa nos llevó a un nuevo traslado, esta vez al Polígono IN2, en la calle de Los Mecánicos, 52, donde seguimos operando hoy. Desde nuestra nueva ubicación, celebramos nuestros cincuenta años de trayectoria, que han sido posibles gracias a la confianza de nuestros proveedores, la lealtad de nuestros clientes y el esfuerzo de nuestro equipo de trabajo.
Nuestro equipo actual lo conforman 12 personas, incluyendo a miembros de la familia como nuestras hijas Mari Carmen y Rosa, y nuestro sobrino Andrés, que se encargan de las áreas comercial, administrativa, y logística, respectivamente. También se ha unido recientemente nuestro nieto Pedro, representando la nueva generación que continuará con el legado de la familia.
El éxito de José Ramón Baile S.L. no habría sido posible sin la confianza que siempre han demostrado nuestros proveedores, cada cliente que sigue creyendo en nuestra labor, y el equipo de trabajadores que nos ha acompañado a lo largo de estos años. A todos, ¡muchas gracias!
